Founded in 2007, UNSPAFAM became CSAFAM, Confederation of Unions of Family Assistants and Childcare Assistants at the Congress of October 8, 2011, with the aim of gathering and uniting professional union organizations.

We are a union of employees of private employer employees, family assistants, childcare assistants and home childcare workers, united in the Confederation of Professional Unions, which brings together departmental professional unions from Metropolitan France and the DOM.

CSAFAM was elected representative of the private employer employee branch. It sits on the various joint committees to ensure the defense of the collective and individual interests of the profession at the national level.

The Confederation has a national structure and has been led by a team of union members, since 1996, all volunteers.

Following the convergence of the branches, our union opened up to employees of private employers and is expanding the existing team.

We intervene with decision-making bodies and participate in various commissions.

We take action.

We denounce abuses.

Our status as a representative union allowed us to participate in the work of writing the CCN for the private employers and home employment sector, resulting from the convergence of the professional branch of childminders with that of employees of private employers. However, the text provided little real progress for the profession and we did not sign it.
