Created in 2010, Gérontopôle des Pays de la Loire is a regional association dedicated to transforming the ageing population into an opportunity for all, with the aim of improving the quality of life of the elderly, helping society’s players to adapt their practices, products or services and change their outlook on ageing, and contributing to a more inclusive society. 

The association’s threefold aim is to act as a meeting, convergence and consultation point for local authorities, companies, associations, laboratories, schools, etc., as well as local and regional players committed to "ageing well". In addition, the association is a structure in charge of setting up, supporting or carrying out projects and studies concerning aging. Last but not least, it is a center of resources and complementary expertise, accessible to all to support innovative projects.

To this end, Gérontopôle des Pays de la Loire is active in 5 areas :
