Presentation and activity
2M elderly fall every year in France, of which 10% remain on the ground for more than an hour, leading to even more severe consequences. This can be prevented using fall detection solutions, such as wristbands that elderly can wear, or fixed sensors that analyze the room. However, the wristbands are not always worn and only detect severe falls, while fixed sensors require installation in each room and are intrusive in the sense that they generally record continuous audio or video streams.
Zoe Fall is the first fall detector based on Wi-Fi signals, embodied by a fixed Wi-Fi receiver that sends alerts to a terminal or smartphone in case of anomalies. Zoe Fall detects all falls within the range of several rooms, without the elderly having to wear anything, and without recording personal data.
The company Zoe Care, publisher of Zoe Fall, is a startup incubated at CentraleSupélec, which holds a patent on a unique technology for recognizing movements via Wi-Fi, and plans to expand its application beyond falls for the prevention of loss of autonomy of elderly: activity monitoring, habits change detecting, chronical patient monitoring.
If you are an elderly service or accommodation provider, and if "Falls" is a strategic issue for you, then do not hesitate to make an appointment with Zoe Care at the exhibition.
