Siver Economy a chance for France. France has developed services to persons since around 15 years, but forgot technical help to sustain autonomy. This economical field, launched in France by Michèle Delaunay, Minister for elderly and for Autonomy and the silver economy cluster, represents 0,25 % of GDP. For that Silver Economy needs well trained professionals. CompAAL project has analysed competence needs of the field and set up the dominant 5 roles profiles and publish training guidelines to improve training for those professionals. The innovative AAL technologies are creating new jobs. CompAAL, a project co-funded by the EUs Lifelong Learning Programme, has investigated the emerging AAL jobs and related competence needs and developed AAL Jobs Role Profiles and Training Guidelines to support training institutions in developing adequate training courses. Thus, skills shortages in the AAL field can be reduced and employability improved.
